Alcohol consumption, alcohol-related harm and regulation of alcohol: Results from a cross- national survey in 19 European countries. (RARHA)

RARHA SEAS is a comprehensive survey completed in 20 European jurisdictions located in 19 countries spreading from the Iberian Peninsula to Scandinavia, and from Greece and Italy to the Baltic countries, Poland and UK. Survey data was gathered from representative samples of the general populations aged 18-64. On average, fifteen hundred interviews per country were carried out, with the total number of interviews collected surpassing 32,000. The seminar will present some of the key findings with a focus on consumption patterns and alcohol issues in the UK sample. The project report arises from the Joint Action on Reducing Alcohol Related Harm (RARHA) which received funding from the European Union, in the framework of Health Programme (2008-2013).
